The Black Tax wins

The Black Tax has made yet another impact again at the recently concluded Direct Monthly Online Film Festival in Michigan, United States (DMOFF) after having its first screening and European screening in November at the Lulea International Film Festival in Sweden and helming a finalist place in the final round of the festival, The Black Tax would go on to make an emotional impact of awareness with its message touching across the black community and audience of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Black Tax won the Jury Award for the best film at the Direct Monthly Online Film Festival and it’s still poised to go on another screening at the American Black Film Festival, a film festival founded in 1997 whose main goal and theme is empowering Black artists and celebrating storytelling by and about people of African descent. This win makes it the 8th international win for the director and producer BillyTheGreat including an official submission at the 2022 Student Oscars Academy Awards with his film “The Delivery Man”.
